  • ¼ tsp ground black pepper freshly cracked
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta for 9–10 minutes, or until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
  • Meanwhile, in a large sauté pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant and just golden—do not burn.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir frequently for 5–6 minutes until slightly reduced and thickened.
  • Whisk in the grated parmesan and stir until melted and smooth. If the sauce gets too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen the texture.
  • Add the cooked pasta directly to the sauce and toss to coat evenly. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
