  • 1 piece store-bought pie crust 9-inch, or homemade tart crust

Filling

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 cup cooked turkey shredded
  • 1 cup baby spinach fresh and washed
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 4 large eggs free-range, room temperature
  • 1 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese shredded
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a 9-inch pie dish with the pie crust, ensuring it covers the bottom and sides evenly.
  • Trim excess dough and prick the bottom lightly with a fork. Pre-bake the crust for 10 minutes to ensure maximum flakiness and set aside to cool.
  • In a medium skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. When shimmering, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until aromatic.
  • Add the shredded turkey and baby spinach, cooking until the spinach wilts, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
