Today, I will share a non-vegetarian dish named crispy honey chicken, a sweet and spicy dish. It’s super easy to cook and yields a lot so that you can serve everyone.

- Chicken Ingredients
- 250 grams of chicken thighs
- 1 medium-sized sliced bell pepper
- 1 medium-sized sliced onion
- 1 teaspoon of chopped ginger
- 5-6 cloves of chopped garlic
- 2 teaspoons of chopped spring onions
- Marinade Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of vinegar
- ½ teaspoon of baking powder
- ¼ cup of flour
- Batter Ingredients
- ¼ cup of flour
- ½ cup of cornflour
- ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of oil
- 1 cup of water
- Sauce Ingredients
- 2 teaspoons of oil
- 2 teaspoons of soy sauce
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ¼ cup of water
- 2 teaspoons of tomato sauce
- 3 teaspoons of honey
- ½ teaspoon of cornflour
Instructions
- Cut the chicken thighs lengthwise in the shape of strips.
- Add some water to the cut chicken strips.
- Now add salt, white pepper powder and baking powder to it.
- Pour the vinegar into it and mix them properly.
- Now keep the marinated chicken in the refrigerator for around 1 hour.
- In another bowl, take all-purpose flour, cornflour, oil and salt and mix them properly.
- Now add water to it and beat it up properly so that no lumps are formed.
- Bring out the marinated chicken after an hour and add some flour to it to absorb the moisture.
- Now put the chicken into the batter and allow it to sit for 15 minutes.
- Heat some oil in a pan and cook the chicken until it turns golden brown.
- Take out the fried chicken pieces on absorbent paper.
- Heat 1 teaspoon of oil, add chopped garlic and ginger, sliced onions and bell peppers, and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
- Add tomato sauce, chilli paste, sauce, honey, cornflour, salt and water to it and mix them properly.
- Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes, add fried chicken and mix it properly so that the sauce blends well with chicken pieces.
- Sprinkle black pepper powder on it and garnish it with some chopped spring onions and serve hot.
