Season the chicken drumsticks well with salt and pepper.
Place the remaining ingredients into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Leave out the chilli if you don't like spice.
Continue boiling until the sauce begins to thicken. If it starts foaming (like hokey pokey or toffee does), remove it from the heat asap otherwise it will harden just like toffee does too!
Marinate the chicken drumsticks in the sauce. You can either dip the drumsticks into a bowl filled with the sauce or place the drumsticks in an oven tray, pour the sauce over the top and then swish around a bit, so everything is covered well. Either way, as long as the chicken is covered with sauce, it's fine. Of course, throw it on top of the chicken once in the tray if there is the leftover marinade.
Put the drumsticks into the oven to bake for 40 minutes. Flip the drumsticks over halfway through and roll them around in the sauces on the tray.
Make sure they are fully cooked through before eating! Serve with some egg-fried rice like I did or some stir-fried noodles.
