Originally crafted in Paris, this drink balances the warmth of brandy with the crispness of white rum and the brightness of orange liqueur, making it a perfect choice for an evening indulgence.

Ingredients
- 30 ml Cognac or Brandy use a high-quality brandy for a smooth finish
- 30 ml white rum a light, dry rum works best
- 30 ml Cointreau or Triple Sec Cointreau is preferred for its superior balance
- 10 ml fresh lemon juice freshly squeezed for the best acidity
- 1 piece lemon twist for garnish
Instructions
- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice to ensure proper chilling.
- Pour the Cognac, white rum, Cointreau, and fresh lemon juice into the shaker using a jigger for accuracy.
- Shake vigorously for about 10–15 seconds until the shaker is frosted on the outside.
- Double strain into a chilled coupe glass to remove ice shards and achieve a smoother texture.
- Garnish with a lemon twist, expressing its oils over the drink before placing it on the rim.
Notes
- To add a slight sweetness, a dash of simple syrup can be included.
- Alternatively, a sugar-rimmed glass can enhance the citrus-forward profile.
