Notes
Storage: This cocktail is best served immediately after shaking. Pre-mix the mango puree, lime juice, and simple syrup up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerate; add spirits and shake with ice when ready to serve.Frozen version: Blend all ingredients with 1 cup crushed ice and freeze in a sealed container for up to 1 week. Stir or re-blend briefly before serving as it will freeze solid.Mango substitution: If fresh mangoes are unavailable, use a high-quality frozen mango puree — thaw completely before measuring.Sweetness adjustment: Taste the mango puree before mixing. Very ripe mangoes may need no simple syrup at all; under-ripe fruit may need up to 0.75 oz.Pro tip: Shake for a full 20-30 seconds — the outside of the shaker should feel uncomfortably cold. This ensures the mango puree fully integrates rather than separating in the glass.
