Get out all the necessary tools and equipment. Wash and clean the shrimp, then set them aside to dry. Fill 3 medium bowls with flour (this is where you can season the flour with salt and pepper or other spices), beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs. It’s essential to keep the bowls in that order as that is the order you will be using them in. Ensure the shrimp are completely dry before starting the 3-step process (the 3-step process includes flour, eggs and breadcrumbs).
Heat the vegetable oil in a large shallow fry pan–enough so that when the shrimp are placed in the pan, the oil should cover half of them. One shrimp at a time- dredge with flour, dip in the eggs, and place and press in the breadcrumbs. The harder you press in the breadcrumbs, the more likely you will completely cover the shrimp with crunchy goodness.
Fry each shrimp for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until golden brown; use the tongs to turn over gently.
When all the shrimp are cooked, remove from the oil and place on a plate or serving dish lined with a paper towel to absorb the excess oil.
