This cheese and onion potatoes gratin is the perfect side dish to serve with your favourite steaks. This recipe is very easy to make and complements the beef so much.
In a 12-inch non-stick skillet, melt the butter (55g) over medium-high heat until foaming.
Add the sliced potatoes, onion, rosemary, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat evenly in the butter. Then cover with a lid, reduce heat to medium, and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are fork-tender.
Remove the lid, increase heat to medium-high, and cook undisturbed for 2–3 minutes to develop a golden crust on the bottom.
Flip sections gently and continue cooking for another 3–5 minutes until browned and crispy on the edges.
Remove the skillet from the heat and immediately scatter the shredded cheddar evenly over the potatoes. Cover with the lid and let stand for 2–3 minutes until the cheese is fully melted.
Sprinkle with the minced fresh parsley and serve straight from the skillet.
