It can be difficult to refuse when your children are nagging for takeaway food, especially when they need to keep to a gluten-free diet. However, perfecting some recipes for healthy alternatives is a great way to appease them without always indulging their love of unhealthy treats – and hopefully, show them that dinner can be tasty and healthy. And that is possible with this yummy gluten-free sticky chicken recipe.
This sticky chicken recipe is an excellent alternative to a Chinese takeaway. Healthy, quick and bursting with an exciting mix of flavours, it’s sure to be enjoyed by all members of your family and serves a family of four.
You can, of course, adjust the recipe to suit your family’s tastes. For example, if you have fussy eaters, spring onion and pak choi can be substituted for peas, mushrooms, or whatever else you may have in your fridge. Likewise, Basmati rice can be used, or to make the meal healthier still, try long-grain brown rice.
